We've been hard at work rebuilding RecLeaguer from the ground up, and we're thrilled to share what's new. RecLeaguer 2.0 is faster, smarter, and packed with features designed to make playing and managing adult rec sports easier than ever.

A Completely Rebuilt Experience

The entire platform has been rebuilt with a modern tech stack. Pages load quicker, navigation is smoother, and the design has been refreshed with a cleaner, more intuitive layout.

Whether you're checking your next game on your phone or managing a full season on your laptop, everything just feels better. We've focused on making the experience fast and responsive on every device, especially mobile.

Earn Player Badges

We've added a badge system to recognize and reward the things that make our community great. Earn badges for milestones like:

• Participation Trophy - Register for your first event

• Seasoned Vet - Play in 5 events

• Rock Solid - Maintain 90%+ attendance across 20+ games

• Super Sub - Step up and sub in for 3+ games

• Multi-Sport Athlete - Play in 2+ different sports

• OG - You were there from the beginning (2022 events)

Badges come in bronze, silver, and gold tiers across categories like participation, reliability, team play, and community. Check your profile to see what you've earned and what you're close to unlocking.

Automatic Calendar Sync

Never miss a game again. You can now subscribe to a personal calendar feed that automatically syncs all your upcoming games to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or any app that supports iCal.

Game times, venues, field numbers, jersey colors, and matchups are all included. The calendar updates automatically as schedules change, so you'll always have the latest information. Find the "Subscribe to Calendar" link on your My Games page.

Smarter Notifications

We've overhauled how notifications work. Game reminders, attendance confirmations, team announcements, and sub requests now go through a dedicated notification pipeline. That means faster delivery, more reliable emails, and less noise.

Team captains can message their team directly from the game page - perfect for coordinating before game day or making a last-minute shift swap.

AI-Powered Tools for League Managers

Running a league is a lot of work. We've built AI-assisted tools to handle two of the toughest jobs:

• Team Balancing - Our AI analyzes player skill ratings, gender balance, and other factors to create competitive and fair teams.

• Schedule Generation - Automatically generate a full game schedule that accounts for venue availability, team count, and scheduling constraints.

These tools save commissioners hours of manual work and produce better results.

Smarter Sub Management

When a player can't make a game, the system now recommends the best available subs based on skill level, availability, and past participation. Captains and commissioners can review recommendations and send sub requests with one click.

Subs receive a notification and have 24 hours to confirm or decline. No more scrambling to fill a spot at the last minute.

Waitlist Support

Events that fill up now support a waitlist. When a spot opens up—whether from a cancellation or a roster expansion—the next player on the waitlist is automatically promoted and notified with a link to complete payment.

No more manually tracking who's next in line or sending emails to figure out availability.
